What’s the Structural Therapy Process?

Updated: Jan 30, 2023

SESSION ONE Structural Therapy begins with an intake session to determine structural breakdowns and deviations, negative symptoms, and desired results. The process includes X-rays, history of pain and traumas to the body’s structure, and any possible mitigating circumstances such as scoliosis, osteoporosis, and congenital anomalies.

SESSION TWO Review of conditions and presentation of personalized treatment plan including procedures to be utilized, timeline, and budget. At this point, the decision to accept the patient or not is discussed and agreed upon.

SESSION THREE In this session, we perform a physical functional assessment to evaluate abilities in motion, balance, and strength. An Inclinometry test is performed to determine range of motion, flexibility, and extension in all critical structural components of the body. A spinal adjustment session is provided and all elements of the regular sessions are demonstrated and explained.

SESSION FOUR This begins the two- or three-times a week therapy sessions. The number of sessions in the individual treatment plan is determined initially from the results of the first three sessions. Additional sessions may be added depending on the speed of results or the severity of the breakdown or deviation.
